The Sex Pistols- Anarchy In The UK

Hearing The Sex Pistols for the first time was a sadly underwhelming experience. Thanks to the likes of Greenday and Blink 182 we were robbed of their originality. Luckily we managed to ignore the more current ripoffs and stick with the mavericks. Still, this track helped to invented the cliche of angry punk and the ferocity of the power chords is undeniably exciting. Green Day wouldn’t be angry with the government if The Sex Pistols hadn’t pioneered the initial frustration. This is probably more relevant to the Brits nowadays. They’re aware that their country is shit struggling (youtube My Tram Experience) and like many other European countries their youth are unemployed and pissed off. Expect a punk come back in London.
